Pilton Yard - The Layout

The 009 representation of the Lynton and Barnstaple railways motive power depot, Pilton Yard.

After a lengthy period of inactivity work re-commence on the layout. The main running lines were re-laid, the electric points wiring completed, scenery and building construction started. Still a long way to go though....

This photo show an overview of the yard with the engine shed nearing completion and the roof frame of the carriage sheds. The signal box is Ratio mounted on a scratch built brick plinth.

A modified Peco N gauge turntable makes a passable representation of the L & B example.

The coal stage is a modified Ratio example with a scratch built yard crane nearing completion.
