Butch - Finished Loco
Rebuilding Butch was relatively
straightforward.
The hardest task was to complete the
assembly process without scratching the new paint.
The BR lining was again provided by Phoenix
Precision Paints. One VERY important tips here. Follow the instructions! The
instructions clearly state that the transfers should be applied to gloss paint.
This is to ensure that no air bubbles are trapped underneath the transfer. As
you can see from close inspection of the photos on this page, the clear portion
of the transfer is visible because it was applied to satin paint.

Finally, we had out first steam test..... A very satisfying moment but still a
long way to go.
